There’s something about December that invites secrets.
The quiet snow. The flicker of fairy lights. The feeling that everyone’s hiding something behind their smiles.
This Christmas, one gift comes wrapped in red ribbon ... and blood.
A Perfect Christmas Murder is my next psychological thriller – a slow-burn mystery set in a converted Catalan monastery high in the Spanish Pyrenees, where a group of guests arrive for what should be a dream art retreat. Instead, it becomes a snow-covered trap.
Everyone has been invited for a reason.
Everyone has something to hide.
And someone plans to make this Christmas perfect ... in the most chilling way imaginable.
If you enjoyed the claustrophobic secrets of The Last Retreat or the dark psychology of Your Personal Therapist, you’ll love the twisting suspense of A Perfect Christmas Murder.
Below you’ll find an exclusive digital sampler – the opening chapters that introduce the monastery, the guests, and the first glint of red beneath the snow.
So make yourself a cup of something warm and step into the world of Glossy Crime. But tread carefully. The truth isn’t buried deep – it’s right there, waiting beneath the tinsel.
Don’t Ask Me About the Cover
Let’s just say … the cover and I are having creative differences.
There are currently fifteen versions living on my laptop – snowier, redder, darker, sparklier – and I can’t quite bring myself to commit to any of them. (Design perfectionism is a dangerous game.)
So yes, in this post you might notice one cover pictured above, and another on the sampler below … ah, and there's a third one on Goodreads. Consider it part of the mystery. Perhaps even a clue ... or perhaps just me, over-tweaking again.
Either way, don’t mind the mismatch – just dive into the sampler, lose yourself in the story, and pretend I totally meant to do that.
